 Softros LAN Messenger
I plan to use Lan Messenger to notify staff members that their appointment client has arrived. We have a rotating staff of tax preparers that do not have assigned desks or network nodes.
My staff all log in to the network using the same login name and password; It is easy for each staff member to change the name that appears in Lan Messinger roster to their own name regardless of which workstation they are seated at.
The receptionist(s) can notify each preparer that their next client has arrived, where they are seated and what they are wearing. This allows the preparer to go out to the waiting area and walk directly up to the client and address them directly by name.
We can also notify all staff members of upcomming events; we are closing in 15 mins; we have unscheduled walk-in clients waiting, etc.
